The Gilis (Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno and Gili Air)
The three ‘Gili’ island are one of Lombok’s most popular tourist destination. The island are very relaxed and laid back, with countless little beachside café serving up delicious food, and fresh fish grills. There are no car or motorbikes on the islands. People either walk around, or pick up the local transport (Cidomo – chi-do-mo) horse cart. People travel to Gili to enjoy the relaxation, beaches, snorkeling and diving. There are no many up market restaurant, bars and accommodation on the islands. Note that there are no ATMs on the island, so bring plenty of cash with you. From west to east, the island are : Gili Trawangan, by far the busiest and heavily developed of these island now boasting some very comfortable accommodation in combination with the more simple back packer beach pads.

Gili Meno, the smallest and peaceful island, low key with some simple places to stay. Gili Air, closest to the mainland with the larges population Strictly speaking, the name “Gili island” is rather redundant as gili simply means “small island”in Sasak, but the name has stuck and is universally used and understood in lombok.

Sekotong and Southwest Gilis
A scenically spectacular high way follows the inside coast of the foot like southwest peninsula of Lombok. This road skirt beaches of the whitest sand. Bays of turquoise water and small islands characterize the offshore panoramas. The road to the Bangko – Bangko area includes the word famous desert point surf location considered by many to be the best left breaking waves in Indonesia. Go for hikes on the headland and explore the caves and huge canons a legacy from the Japanese occupation.

NANGGU, GILI GEDE and RENGGIT ISLAND
The three above Gilis are the most favorite destination for the people who love unpopulated island and the most beautiful for your under water exploration. GILI RENGGIT especially a 22 Ha tropical island in South West Lombok with unspoiled white sandy beachs, lush tranquil surroundings where you can cool off in clear ocean water amongst colorful and abundant sea-life.
