The Wisma Soedjono was built in the 1920’s by the Javanese doctor Soedjono abd served as a mountain retreat. The Dutch colonial heritage style of the house is typical fot that time. Very well preserved, the house is now the main reception area and also the residence of the Soewono family who has run the Wisma since a very long time. Various styles of bungalows and rooms available for accommodation, most with views to the surrounding rice – paddies and glimpses to the mighty volcano Mount Rinjani. The wisma’s restaurant serves excellent local dishes as well as western style cuisine. Fresh fruit and vegetables are available for groups of ten or more.

Air – conditioning is not necessary here and in the months from June to September you might need a jumper. Water is plentiful here and it comes straight from the mountain springs.
